This form generates a simplified chart showing approximations of the Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The results are only an approximation of the Federal EFC figure that is calculated when you file the FAFSA form. This chart is likely to be within $500 of the correct results for typical students. The chart also assumes two adults in the family, with the older parent 45 years old. Amounts are rounded to the nearest $50.
